Q. We received a W-9 in 2023 from a supplier. The business name was a company, and the S corporation box was marked. They also provided an employer identification number. The name on the income tax line was the person’s name.We just received an email from this supplier who sent us a new W-9 with their Social Security number and told us we need to provide them with a 1099 for year 2023.
