Q. ABC Inc (12-3456789) acquired XYZ LLC (98-7654321) and became XYZ LLC a subsidiary to ABC Inc. Our company is doing business with XYZ LLC and XYZ LLC is instructing us to send payments to ABC Inc. Should XYZ LLC provide ABC Inc's W9? If so, should XYZ LLC be on Line 2 on the W9?  A.
